America is Watching the Demise of Fox News

Tucker Carlson staring into the abyss. Sean Hannity screaming into the abyss. Laura Ingraham preaching into the abyss. Fox News heading into the abyss.

It looks like some of the big names of Fox News, past and present, will convene inside a Delaware courtroom come Tuesday. The big names heading to the witness stand on that day will be Fox Corporation head honcho Rupert Murdoch as well as the big guns inside the Fox News circle, namely Sean Hannity, Maria Bartiromo, Lou Dobbs, and Tucker Carlson will appear on the witness list in a defamation lawsuit that could have a damaging impact on the news subsidiary of Murdoch’s vast empire. In my opinion, it could lead to the fact that Fox News isn’t credible at all.

According to Lee Levine, a retired First Amendment lawyer who had done some litigating on behalf of the big media companies (Including Fox and CBS) said the case was the strongest he’d ever seen in terms of evidence. This stuff should not be taken lightly.

“I have never seen a case involving a public figure where the evidence of actual malice that they will have to put before a jury is stronger,” he says.

The power of Fox News in terms of their viewership is shocking. It’s all about the GOP and the dishonesty they tell on a case by case basis is flat-out ridiculous. Until Dominion Voting Systems filed its lawsuit, few Americans knew much about them. During the 2020 Election, Dominion provided machines and ballot scanners to 28 different states, including New York (Which has 52 in the 62 counties).

If we can rewind to Election Night 2020, when Fox News took many of its viewers by surprise when its decision desk called Arizona for Joe Biden, many Arizonans told former President Donald Trump to take a hike. Fox made the MAGA crowd into a rage.

Current politics editor for NewsNation Chris Stirewalt, who held the same position at Fox News at the time, helped make that call. In an interview with CBS News’ Erin Moriarty, he would say the following in terms of making the call that got Joe Biden into the White House: “I was surprised at how damn scared everybody was, and how much just this intense fear [there was].”

Fear of viewers, fear of the Almighty Trump, or both?

Stirewalt said, “Fear of viewers, fear about ratings, fear about Trump.”

Do you know know what happened next?

MAGA went into full-blown meltdown mode. That call led to a mass exodus of angry Fox viewers, Donald Trump included. To appease them, Dominion alleges Fox intentionally allowed a bunch of lunatics representing Trump on air to make false statements about them. Massive red flags. This includes attorneys and/or hucksters Sidney Powell (Who made the dumbest claim on national TV; “President Trump won by not just hundreds of thousands of votes, but by millions of votes”) and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani (Saying that “this was a stolen election”). Former judge turned Fox News host Jeanine Pirro made this claim would make Pinocchio wince, “Dominion Software System has been tagged as one allegedly capable of flipping votes.”

A lie is a lie, and Fox News is spewing the bull and many people are eating it up. How ridiculous. It’s why many people continue to call out the bull they spew on a daily basis. This is why many decent people tuned out of the Fox News Machine and dropped them from their channel lineup. What happens next is anybody’s guess.

This, along with their piss-poor coverage of the January 6th insurrection is why Fox News is total garbage. And those who blindly listen to these hacks are as gullible as them. Fox News issued a formal apology to the judge presiding over Dominion’s $1.6bn defamation lawsuit, following a recent admission in court that revealed Rupert Murdoch’s involvement as an officer at Fox News; but that was to cover their own ass. Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Laura Ingraham lied to their viewers. And this will backfire spectacularly.

Many people will never buy into the bull, and Fox News entered the FAAFO chat room because of their complete idiocy. America is watching alright, the self-inflicted insanity that Fox News created.
