Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Alexis Price, but many know me by my stage name Alexis Isis, which is an homage to my beloved mother, Dana Green-Price, better known in the belly dance world as Dana Isis. I have been exploring beauty through the art of belly dance since I was 8 years old and have been fortunate enough to have my mother guide me through this journey. Though I have always been confident in my body and my abilities, I have taken the opportunity to push myself further and express myself through my art. Belly dancing has been an incredibly unique and powerful experience for me, and I am excited to share my story and my art with all of you.

During my life, I wanted to follow my mother's footsteps as a dancer, swaying my hips along the way. Life has a way of making the most out of life; you could be looking for love, you could be looking for more than what you are worth, or you could be looking for career advancement. But most importantly, you're looking forward to whatever happens next.

I remember when I was 16 and I told my mother that I would always be a unique woman, both inside and out. In fact, my mother told me to always take it slow, but always be bold. I take great pride in my body and have strived to make tasteful decisions, even when it's hard. Though I'm now 25, I'm proud of the boundaries I have set for myself, and my friends support and respect my decisions. This same attitude has been a driving force in my dancing career. I continue to push myself to reach the next level and stay proud of who I am. My commitment to be unique and be true to myself has been essential to my success.

And look how it all turned out: A successful belly dance career, modeling on the side, and plenty of other successes along the way. I wouldn't trade that for anything, especially when my career is still on the rise. I have to thank my parents, Charles and Dana, for blessing me with the opportunity to be successful and keep me well grounded. And it all started in the All-American city of San Diego.

My life has some twists and turns along the way, each with a nice way of saying, “I've been there, I've done that.” But every story has more ways to give the reader what they expect. You can't ask for more than just that. Don't worry, my story is a lot more fun when you dive right into the exciting parts. You wouldn't want to miss it.
