Seven Wrestlers Who Can Make An Impact In Tier 1 Wrestling (If They Are Brought In, Of Course)
I don't have to really tell anybody this, but Tier 1 Wrestling is one of my favorite promotions in New York. The quality of each match is truly amazing and the fans aren't disappointed. They have a solid youth movement and some veteran names in the Big Apple and that alone is that damn impressive. But what if they bring some well known names on the independent scene to help put the promotion over? I can name a few, but for this column I will only name seven, just for the fun of it.
Rosemary would help boost the brand and bring a new side of aggression we haven't seen before from her. The Demon Assassin never wrestled in the Big Apple before, but we New Yorkers would love to see her put a hurt on someone in the ring. May it be Aja Perera or Allie Reks, Rosemary will bring her punishing side to Tier 1 and cement herself as a star in the mecca of professional wrestling. Promotions have been clamoring for some big name talent, and a former GFW Knockouts Champion would help bring some credibility to a brand that has some exceptional talent. I bet Rosemary would be a big hit in New York if given the chance.
JR Kratos, a west coast mainstay, would also be a perfect addition to the Tier 1 family. His style will mesh with the names of Gran Akuma, Darius Carter, and Mike Verna; And that is saying something. The best wrestling in the Big Apple will have some West Coast flavor if they decide to get him over. I have a feeling that most of the West Coast readers would agree that JR Kratos would be a good fit for Tier 1 Wrestling, and if I can say this; He can put T1W officials on notice with his wrestling style.
If you want someone who can make it big, then Kongo Kong is your guy. A fierce competitor in the ring but also a big man in wrestling, Kongo Kong will put the entire Tier 1 Wrestling locker room on notice. If anybody can put a dent on the New York wrestling landscape, it's Kongo Kong. I like to see an Mike Orlando/Kongo Kong matchup in the future if Tier 1 makes the deal to bring him in. While the big man is making plenty of big waves in GFW as of late, but I wouldn't count against Kongo Kong coming to New York and probably squash some poor guy in the ring. I'd pay to see that.
Thunder Rosa, a familiar name on the Indy circuit, is another name that might make waves in the New York wrestling scene. If Tier 1 was smart, they capitalize on her popularity with matches that mean something. Tier 1 is all about the youth movement, and Thunder Rosa is all about that and more. A proud Luchadora, she might make it big in one of wrestling's historic cities. While she did make some appearances in the Tri-State area, she may be a solid fit for T1W if that is the case. And with Sabotage Wrestling representing the West Coast wrestling scene, she might bring a taste of that promotion in the Big Apple.
I like the idea of Francisco Ciatso and Stormie Lee to the Big Apple for Tier 1 Wrestling for two reasons; one being that we have a rabid New York fan base, two being that T1W is a part of the WWN family. If they can bring their own brand of heat to New York, expect a lot of solid reactions. While I think the “Southeast Gangster” would have a shot at the T1W Championship somewhere down the line and Stormie take on some of the best women NYC has to offer. There's an old saying, if u can make it here, you can make it anywhere. That I can say about Francisco Ciatso and Stormie Lee at the moment.
Cheerleader Melissa, by and large, is also someone I would love to see in Tier 1 Wrestling. A legend in women’s wrestling, Melissa will bring her tier 1 talent to the number one media market in America and hopefully bring STARDOM USA to New York in the near future. Imagine the idea of having the two-time SHIMMER Champion in front one of the most passionate fanbases in professional wrestling, whether they are from Brooklyn or Queens or from Long Island, she will be a huge hit with the audiences in NYC. And think of the dream matchups they can put on with Melissa on board. If there is anybody that can make it big in New York, let alone T1W, it’s the Future Legend.
Hopefully Tier 1 Wrestling would bring one of them in for a show one day and hopefully brings crowds to their feet every time. New York may be one of the most historic places in professional wrestling, but Tier 1 can capitalize on the opportunity of bringing in tier 1 talent with it. But you know the old saying; Never say never.
